Traveled this weekend. No questionnaires, less than 10% of patrons wearing masks, craps tables full and with visitors, no required hand sanitizing before entering the casinos. Not enough staff to prevent lines and groups from forming and the staff was clearly under duress (overworked? Having to work under unsafe conditions? Chips were cashed in at cage and not santitized. Money was handed between cashiers and customers without gloves. Good employees were trying the best they could but despite a near impossibility to maintain 6ft distance, in cases where they could, security or employees were not enforcing social distance. As the night went on and the guests got more intoxicated, this became even more difficult
We clearly made a mistake trusting the safety messages, it’s too early. I think the state should review the security footage from the busy nights to see how closely these protocols we’re followed and how many patrons were actually wearing masks.
