Hi Lewis — time shall tell. “Expected” doesn’t mean guaranteed, but the odds are heavily in RWNYC and Empire’s favor. The properties have been great community and state partners and are operated by two globally respected gaming giants. I’m not alone in predicting those two will receive full licenses. From the NYT: “Many lobbyists and elected officials believe the region’s two existing racinos are the leading contenders for two of the three licenses. One is Genting Group’s Resorts World New York City in Queens, and the other is MGM Resorts International’s Empire City Casino in Yonkers, N.Y.”
